Muzak’s Story

Brilliant ideas last a lifetime. In 1929, General Owen Squier patented the transmission of music over electrical lines, combined the word “music” with the name of his favorite company, Kodak, and Muzak was born. Thus began a remarkable story in the world of business – a story that has taken Muzak from the industrial factories of America to elevators that touched the sky, from the White House into outer space, and from the corner store down the street to the most powerful national brands in business.

Today, our story continues within the emotional power of music and voice and the experiences we create for over 325,000 clients and over 100 million listeners each day. Muzak. It’s a brilliant idea that will last for lifetimes to come. We’d like to put the idea to work for you.
